Gary Butterfield and Kole Ross talk about Berserk in other media, and then wrap up with our thoughts on the Dark Souls Deisgn Works book.
Episode 28: Berserk Manga (Part 2)
Gary Butterfield and Kole Ross talk about the Conviction Arc of the Berserk manga.
With the Golden Age covered, we are now venturing out beyond where any anime or movie has adapted the Berserk story. The Conviction Arc has a great structure: it's part Monster-of-the-Week and part "let's fulfill the promise of this horribly broken world". But, most of all, it gave us Serpico. Long live Serpico!
This episode covers Volumes 14-22 of the manga.

Episode 27: Berserk Manga (Part 1)
Gary Butterfield and Kole Ross talk about the first two arcs of the Berserk manga.
Why the hell are we talking about manga on a Dark Souls podcast? All you have to do is open a Berserk volume to any random page to see that From Software drew a LOT of inspiration from this decades-long (and still running!) series.
In this episode, we cover generalities, along with the first two major arcs of the series-- "The Black Swordsman" and "The Golden Age" (Volumes 1 - 14).
